I remember both Feb 23 and Mar 13 were mentioned on this board near the same time. Is Mar 13th more corporate layoffs or more local district/store level ? These every few weeks or once a month roll outs are much worse than once every few months or a few times a year.

They're talking about the "All in One Staffing Guide". It's in SHC Connect. SS is Sales Support as the other person just said. Cashiers + MCAs have been blended in many stores.
It's not in PMP. It's in SHC connect, and the app is called All-in-One Staffing Guide.
Highly unlikely that all of these positions would be eliminated and the stores that they work at are not just closed down at the same time. Some small stores only have one each of these positions and 4-5 part timers as it is.
SS in this app does not stand for Simple Store but for Sales Support. Please correct.
I would like to know what program it is to see the employee level for our store. I looked everywhere in PMP but I may have missed something. Any help would be grand.
July 1st Oregon minimum wedge Increases and it is not a state wide in increase. The standard wrdge will be $10.25 an hour but the Portland Metro area has been declared an "urban growth area" and the minimum wedge in 3 countries will be $11.25 an hour. 3 Sears locations are in the urban growth area. I suspect at least one of not all three will be on the chopping block. People have not been coming into the stores and $1.50 an hour spike to everyone on minimum wedge will only make the profit margins shrink more. I am on commision with a base pay but at $6.00 an hour with 1% commission I cannot count on anything but minimum wage.
More to come after earnings are released. This time it will be SM, ASM, any leads that are left and salaried employees. Everyone will go to hourly and/or take on more resposibility. Stores will close, DM's will be let go and those who are left will take on more stores.
@meb nice comment, thanks
so there is another one on march 13th? I wasnt aware of that
Makes sense. Thanks. Some departments (i.e. Pharmacy) if eliminated at a location for example would need up to 4 weeks. And adding any store closures march could mean closures in may/June.
On one of the company apps, there is a store staffing level chart. Listed by store number. Might be under PMP or whatever the purple one that is given to you w/o choice like segno is called.
It shows store staffing levels for Feb Mar Apr May. How many people your store has in each dept & how many they should have. The numbers of how many the store should have goes down quite a bit in all depts for Apr & May compared to Feb & Mar.
This tells me that Sears stores are looking to have fewer employees for Apr & May. Perhaps beyond as well since it says SS next to the totals starting in Apr. Simple Store.
How do you get fewer employees? Attrition & layoffs. To downsize for Apr, you need to get rid of people in Mar. YMMV.
Q416 financial results March 9th 2017
March 1st after close OR March 2nd before opening is when they will release earnings. Their is a save the date for march 1st as a town hall meeting call. Waiting another week and a half to release them after that is not realistic.
I believe March 13 will be the time they release earnings
@bjz - Yeah, we're aware. We've read this all over this board.
Sears Holding laid ofat least 130 employees today February 23,2017 it was a sad day at the office
not sure but Eddie's note made it clear that more of this is coming
