My Sears store would topple down if the QMT guy left. He would probably do better financially working somewhere else. He may think his salary is good & for Sears it is but I don't think he realizes his true value. The store though? Would crumble as the registers stopped working one after one.

Lovely. I wonder if our QMTs will be gone before they finish patching the tiles back on the floor to cover up the all the asbestos they left exposed without any apparent attempt at abatement. I always cringe when I see coworkers and customers stepping in it, and carts or pallet jacks being run right over it.

If they decided to cut QMTs, I wonder if they would really know of the implications. Most stores are bandaided together by the QMTs. If they let the QMTs go, the stores will fall apart.

Our QMT is constantly playing whackamole with roof leaks in our store (and tons of other things) because Sears' budget for repairs and hiring contractors is 0.

Then again, maybe they know this. After all, if they file for bankruptcy, store repairs won't be necessary.

How is the QMT program doing? I was let go March 2016. The last and only Kmart in my town is closing in April. There will be two "A" Sears stores left in my town and one "B" Sears store in the town across the river. I figure it is a matter of time before the QMT program is dismantled. They would not let us do much in fixing the stores back then and I can't see where much maintenance is being done now.
