@1qcc got it right. The bloviators, huffers/puffers and grandstanders get to stay. The quiet, hard-working, productive worker bees are gone, especially if they are not on the same page with their manager.
OP you got it all wrong, in reality is the opposite, where productive employees are let go and those who get along with management stay which are usually Deadwoods.
