Have just read the official FAQs recently published to employees which confirms DXC is not an acronym...
"What does DXC stand for?
DXC is not an acronym. The name DXC is a reference to our mission, which is leading clients on their digital transformation journeys. The X is a reference to the company, being a force multiplier, enabling clients to seize the opportunities presented by today’s rapidly changing technologies."
So, if D is 500 and C is 100 and X is the multipler then:
D X C = 50,000.
I'm guessing that DXC is more likely a reference to the number of redundancies planned in 2017.
Don't Xpect any Competence
That's the problem with choosing a name which COULD be an acronym - customers will ask, and we don't have anything like a good answer.
I suspect the real answer is that it's just three letters that sound OK together and as a combination were available as a stock ticker.

It's the first question everyone asks me. What does it stand for. The FAQ is clear that it's not an acronym. So the next question is "well then what is it???"
The FAQ does a spectacularly bad job of equipping anyone to answer the second question with a straight face
Seriously? what a wank! Did they really pay someone to come up with DXC? Too funny! So out of touch - it's like a dad joke, only worse!
They sniff good stuff my friend, that's how they came up with the acronym
