Did anyone reduced? Or this was a rumour..........
Did you read the recent Org change email? Was this change required approval from court, No. So, it is evident that Chapter 11 protects only executive leadership and company stake holders. It doesn't protect employees. Check the history of companies opted for Chapter 11. It was followed by huge layoffs in the name of restructuring. Avaya leadership is only giving example of companies who were successful after Chapter 11. Please google and check how many companies were unsuccessful during or after Chapter 11.
Does anybody really care that uninformed people post stupid comments here? It's pretty funny that so many people pretend to be in the know and just as funny that others seem to get so angry. Get over yourselves, what happens will happen.
WE are all saved, the sun has risen on the 16 day of the month and we are all still hear
God Bless KK and all who sail in her.
Just goes to prove that you know nothing !
Keep your BS to yourself
Next hearing is planned on 3rd March
We also heard that list of impacted people is ready and manager will communicate them about their layoff very shortly
You people are all delusional and making inane comments with absolutely no facts to back them up is a total waste of time. The company is in bankruptcy, but how it will be restructured, potential layoffs, furloughs, sell off of the networking division, etc. ,etc. is pure speculation at this point. The most important next date relative to the bankruptcy is March 22 which is the first formal hearing by the court as reported on the bankruptcy docket:
NOTICE OF INITIAL CASE CONFERENCE ON
MARCH 22, 2017, AT 10:00 AM (PREVAILING EASTERN TIME)
Until this happens, all of you uninformed, wannabe insiders should just remain silent so you don't appear so stupid.
There is NO ANNOUNCEMENT today. Please stop pretending that you know something when you are actually clueless.
announcement due today to tie in with the bankruptcy plan as to what they are doing.
No doubt large layoffs will be taking place shortly, across all sites. Ch11 doesn't protect employees, it empowers lawyers to make bad decisions. Most likely they will start with a mandatory furlough first - 7 days, no pay. Next, a "voluntary leave" program, then come the layoffs. At least, that has been the pattern in the past.
The salary given to one Software developer in US can actually let you hire a half a dozen of developers in India. Some heads certainly going to be chopped in US and other costly regions.
Hit rate of information on this site is really good
Not every thing is false. Check out historical threads on this website. This is the only anonymous forum where we can speak our issues openly.
getting news from this site is like watching CNN....
a waste of time.
USA dudes are protected by ch 11 so it is rest of world
It makes sense to fire people after Avaya engage.
As of today, no such announcement in the US anyhow, so it's either just a rumor, or only impacting non-US sites.
Any details of financial impact and geography?
