Has anyone heard anything new on future plans for Arkansas like later this year or in 2018?
I know the price is rebounding and I'm wondering if swn will start picking up drilling again in Arkansas

Confirmed they will be drilling 1 more hole to completion in the next couple weeks and then will stack SDC 43 again. No known future beyond that even by the company men on the rig.
BHP Billiton puts Fayetteville Shale assets for sale again. Thinking we are close behind. Believe we are nonoperates partners in many of their wells and visa versa. Thoughts???
I have heard they rented out all the 4th fl and half the 3rd floor in the building in Conway, and possibly SWN moving out of the building completely.
I don't think plans are over with Arkansas. Especially with testing in the Moorefield looking successful and this year, they are drilling more test wells. I looked at quarterly investor powerpoints posted by SWN online from the fourth quarter of 2016.They still have, If I remember correctly 4,300 drilling locations left with prices above $4.00 and hundreds of drilling locations at various prices between 3-4 dollars.
I do know of a few private equity folks who have looked at Fayetteville specifically and Swn at a glance .
None can figure out any approach to making it an economic venture , at least with cost to acquire .
It's really low upside / growing cost structure ( speaking Fayetteville here ) . Nothing anyone would want to buy
The last poster is just looking to get a rise out of people.
Private equity firms are looking to assets from SWN. Fayetteville maybe the target
Swn's Fayetteville Shale acreage is nearly drilled out, I would imagine a one or two rig drilling schedule is what you'll see... I've heard Northeast Appalachia is the only field making any money, any truth to that?
Same story I've heard . Difficult to see a scenario where drillling of any significance would occur again in Fayetteville shale
They have no plans to drill in Arkansas, the only field that is making SWN money is the WV asset.
