Managers pushy for credit apps

Has anyone else noticed that the managers are getting pushier and pushier with everyone getting credit apps. Today my store manager wanted everyone to get at least one app per hour. There was a period where I had no customers for over an hour. He was trying to make it sound like he just wanted everyone to get more money but that just seamed ridicules. setting a credit app per hour goal is more appropriate for companies that sell credit cards, not a retail store. The MCA and cashier position has been merged, some lead positions have been eliminated and basic supplies are running low but their is still a manager dedicated to "driving up" SWY and credit.

Using an existing Sears card to pay does help the cashier. Or it did. I read something recently that made me think it's all apps now.

Love the 20 new regular Sears cards! You make a good point. There should be an incentive to push the 5321.

I have opened like 20 cards since 5321. ALL of them regular Sears cards. It keeps the credit metric up and drives the management insane. Lol. Want to do the 5321? Incentivize us.

I have had managers ask me to sign up as well. I told them that I was told by a financial adviser that I should not try for any cards at this time. At that point if they try to push it I can tell if they want to pay for a second opinion will consult with a second adviser. I refuse get a Sears card.

I'm not an employee, just a customer, oops, I mean member. I have noticed the big push to sign up for the 5321 card. I already have a Sears card that I never use. I'm curious, does it make a difference for the employee's numbers or quota if a customer uses an existing Sears card to pay, or is it all just about new credit apps?

First day of this crap I saw that every single application was made by an employee. Manager keeps asking everyone if they've signed up yet. I know a single application should not significantly affect one's credit score, but I still find it highly unethical to push this on employees. Even if I am approved, I don't want this POS credit card opened up in my name when I have absolutely no intent on ever using it.
