Are offices that are still hiring at the moment safe?

Safe is a relative term here ... if you really need a job and can afford the risk of joining a company in the middle of bankruptcy proceedings, understanding that the "LIFO" rule applies once things get worse and cuts take place, and you will likely be among the first to go, then it's worth pursuing.
Career is not safe. Horrible and frustrating work environment. Everyone just talks about bankruptcy and layoffs. No one does serious business here.
