If you haven't seen the writing on the wall for a while (say, oh 5 years) and gotten the heck out of there you've already volunteered to be layed off.

The layoff will start at Hoffman. Any job that does the same thing for Kmart and Sears will be consolidated. I don't know which will be the one--Kmart or Sears. I would assume that the one to eliminate is the one making more money. Also, many jobs will be eliminated that have too many people doing the same job such as buyers, copywriters, assistant managers or whatever and on it goes. Sorry.

Does anyone else have Leads that are so lazy .The ones we have do nothing and I mean nothing. We do have one that actually said that the district manager told them they are to do No physical work at all. They are leaders not laborers. And they do nothing at all. Watched one walk right past some cloths on the floor and wouldn't even bend over and pick them up. Anyone else have Leads like we do .

That makes sense here too. Since when do they book all the conference rooms to announce earnings? Do they usually do that Hoffman?

I heard something too recently that leads me to believe that middle of March is the day. A promise of big changes that will probably amount to closing a lot of locations to avoid fixing problems corporate created.

From what I've been told the majority of the conference rooms at the Hoffman Estates complex are booked for 13 March-

Booked by "security"

The day wave 3 closings are announced to help get to the 1 billon in savings this year. And shortly after that, the layoffs of more fulltime and store manager positions or the "co managers".

Perhaps it's when the next round of layoffs & closures will be announced (just after the Q4 results).

I think OP is predicting the day the Q4 results will be announced.

Based on what? I think we all know something is coming, best guess would be before Q4 results and mirroring last years cuts which took place end of Feb. March 13th seems a little arbitrary and off the mark.
