Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

ERP folks who are Medicare eligible: they told us Intel medical plan would be secondary (fine) to Medicare.

Now when I go to the Aon webpage it tells me I have no coverage. Anyone else had this glitch?

If you went to the Aon site via the link on the Retiree webpage, it is possible it toock you to the IRMP info at Aon in which case it would show you as 'no coverage' since you are still on COBRA. Best bet is to call Aon and explain and verify that you still have coverage via COBRA, and reaffirm it is OK to keep COBRA even though you now have medicare. I forgot the name of the group that did the ERP info presentations last year, but I do remember them saying something about "Medicare will be primary and your Intel plan will be secondary." So somehow the COBRA requirement that you not have Medicare at the same time as COBRA must have been waived.
