I think it was more for awareness. Most people have no idea that a network of drones could be programmed using smart technology. It's actually kind of creepy.
cool factor, absolutely, but only possible because Intel footed the bill. Anyone stupid enough to actually thinks this can be a revenue generator?
Agree.. this is hype machine at its best...
The same performance could have been delivered using lights alone, no? Did we really need drones for Lady Gaga show?
I hate to admit it, but intel might be on to something with this drone thing. It's seems silly to those of us who work there but my Facebook and Twitter feed has lots comments of how cool people think the orchestrated drone thing was, and that that type of intelligence programmed into drones could potentially provide a slew of safety and labor reduction cost benefits.
