I think Lampert owns over 40 % or SRG. It was created as a real estate investment trust. Stockholders of SHLD had a rights offering in which they could purchsae shares back in Aug of 2015. Interestingly Warren Buffett purchased 70 mil worth of SRG in Dec 2015. SRG pays dividends to its shareholders. Wow Sears properties are actually worth something. But SHLD has already burned thru the money they received for the sale. SRG is now the corp that will realize the true value of those properties.
