Then realize they've been giving a craphouse full of points away every
day anyhow. During the Super Bowl?
Nothing to see here. Move along.
1 billion points will get you a few bath towels, a few clearance comforters and a Donald Trump Chia pet.
Considering every Kmart within 10 miles of me has closed, I'm gonna pass
its a simple business move to sell thru inventory, raise the prices 40% then offer 40% off in points. keep in mind most purchases that you buy with a points discount still cost more than it would be full price at walmart....
It is surprise points off a purchase. 10 off 20, 8 off 16, etc.
The one billion points is one million dollars worth of merchandise. It looks like they would rather give it away and take the tax write off than go through liquidating it. Too funny. The end will be coming this year.
I really have to wonder how much money the company has lost through the years from people gaming the system. We'd have people constantly doing what amounted to scamming, not only getting their items for free but also getting refunds for things they bought entirely with points directly back to their credit/debit cards. All the managers knew about it and we tried to send it up the chain, but we were always told to just let it happen and nobody would ever do anything about it. I imagine just the one guy we always saw had to have scammed the company out of tens of thousands of dollars by himself.
Will Kmart still be open by the time Sunday comes around...?
Since the NFL operates on the premise its a charity.......is it a tax write off ?
