how is NK and SG are still surviving. They just don't have brains at all. Still managed to get promotions and act as if they are driving the whole Target strategy.
he was the last hope I had for Target after JG left .. Now that he left, nobody can save Target. Hope Casey at least is still around
Nope, according to ReCode he and his whole team got laid off
is west still there with company?
Yeah Best Buy had their own Goldfish since 2011!!! They just canned it since customers were too confused about who was actually selling the product. I'm glad someone at Target smartened up and pulled the plug on this
Goldfish was a open platform to allow others to list and sell. eBay and Amazon do this already?? Store of the future is rehashing the labells concept.sample Product on the floor then is purchased and you pickup as it delivered on conveyor to you. A robot may assist you on the sales floor
"Solve instocks over the next 2-3 years" ... Should have been solved 2-3 years ago...
Target was the benefit of being "Not Walmart" in the 90s and 2000s. 2010s came along and the market is showing people don't like going to the store but Greg and BC strategy was to get people into the store or add more stores to Canada.
Either make the store experience over the top enjoyable for the stressed out Mom or figure out how to beat Amazon
Target took innovation down a path that made no sense. Amazon's innovation is focused on more product, frictionless purchasing, and minimizing delivery times. Target worked on sensors to tell you nutrient contents on fruit in the store? Time constrained parents do not have the time. Get back to basics. Solve instocks over the next 2-3 years. Keep driving key designers (which may or may not be successful...but differentiate). That's it. Move on from BC and give JM the gig. It was refreshing during transition 2 years ago.
wow... 4th qtr results were that bad, huh?
Since no one ever really knew much about Goldfish, it seemed like vaporware meant to confuse the competition. Guess Target blinked first
