Sorry guys. But the Intel of yesterday clearly isn't the Intel of today, in which it hires the best and the brightest. I've known colleague identified here as Colleague F. Colleague F was a coworker at a previous company for which I oversaw engineering development in Organization Y. Colleague F wasn't a superstar and although wasn't a direct report, clearly wasn't a top performer, and only a individual contributor for more than a decade. In fact, typical talker, less so doer... Colleague F was recently RIF'd at my organization....
Interestingly Colleague F was hired by Intel, as a manager. Lol.... Manage what?????? Colleague F couldn't manage their own task at hand, wasn't particular good at their own job (hence why Colleague F was RIF'd)...And now Colleague F is managing people at Intel? Lol.
The morons have taken over the management tree at Intel it seems. No wonder their is "top talent flight"...If I had to work for Colleague F, I'd ask to get laid off immediately. I feel sorry for the person's direct reports.
