Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Not true

Priority 2 - Eb2 - takes 6-10 years and it is slowing down further with backward movements.

Only Priority 1 - which is high level researcher or renowned scientist/PHD gets it in 2-4 years. They are getting strict on that.

Priority 3 - Eb3 is typical for most Indians. Not decided by employer. Criteria based on what USCIS determined. A Bachelors + 5 years work experience. 10-15 years process, again slowing down will take longer...

Good luck if it is stupid Sacramento USCIS processing your employment green card. The dumb b!atches there admitted that they don't process many employment based Greencards and had to be educated on immigration laws. So if they make mistakes or take wrong decisions - based on you changing employment etc - expect to add a few years in correction. Try to get your green card INTERVIEW in SAN FRANCISCO instead. They are much better.

The irony is that if you actually run the movers through Trump's tax proposals ,most people's taxes who are heavily dependent on a w2 and less so on capital gains will go up about 4%

Where people's taxes goes down are people who get most of their income passively from capital gains and dividends about 4% less. Just one more reason why the stock market is on fire and while some of us are going to do great. Those the count on a paycheck as their primary source of income are in for a rude awakening

Ain all likelihood any.sort.of.immigratiom change will moving forward. So what would happen is the number h1b visas would be reduced.while existing h1bs would run its course.towards green card ststus.

There.is a economic reason for this. People that don't get their green cards the u.s.

Would need to refund all their Medicare and social security taxes they paid thus far.

Granting the green cards, you have a bunch of people that would be paying taxes moving forward. And we need people to do that.gicen hoeich this country.will be spending on infrastructure

If you are going to be a sneaky person want to resign , waste 5 months of Intel time getting your basement repaired, pretending to have to go do court duty etc etc .. while also EXPECTING a package .. .. maybe it is a good idea to not broadcast YOUR RESIGNATION to EVERYONE including HR 5 months before you are going to leave !!!!

How many other such cases within Intel ??

Too right. I wouldn't have known about GEDs being in grade 9

until I replaced one that was leaving with 5 months advance resignation

AND still ended up getting ERP package before leaving.

Intel has too much money to waste !!!

ditto @tdo

If not circuit, then on Inside Blue.

Let us judge them the way they judge us - for their education and movement around Intel. Most don't even deserve to where they are, they got where they got for having the right friendships and brown nosing.

It should be mandatory for all Intel managers, directors, upward to publish their biography with experience and qualification - to allow us a laugh at many of the 1d!ots that want to be so very authoritative upon us daily without reason.

GEDs in various areas of Intel's management commanding respect from their employees, LMAO, too funny.

Have doubts about MCM getting ACT right.

These low level people in high grades should have been the first ones to go. Over paid fails judging performance of those with better qualification and work experience than theirs in each FOCAL.

Instead Richard Taylor devised a bu11$hit way using SL to get rid of hardworking Intel employees. All that knowledge lost.

Those GEDs in high grades ( G9 - G12) are very old timers and will be eradicated in the upcoming ACT if MCM get's it right !!!

Fragomen Intel's immigration attorneys should not allow Sacramento to do our Intel Green card interviews.

Immigration rules change so frequently and often ... and over a 10 to 15 years LONG WAIT PERIOD,

... it is too easy for CARELESS SACRAMENTO USCIS to mess up :(

Agree with you @ftb

... but you have to remember Intel has GEDs sitting in HIGH GRADES.

So in comparison..

EB3 is better educated than a GED at Intel.

Anyways, going forward, I am sure things will change.

With all due respect. Priority 3 shouldn't even exist.

There's no reason why people in Priority 3 could not be done by someone here with at a green card or citzenship. If at all I sort of agree with cutting those visas. Priority 1 and 2
