I left the Best Company EVER after 28 years - I didn't like the direction that the company is going. Upper management doesn't even know; unqualified people are kept and those with knowledge quit or are forced out. Enough is enough - no one is sincere and you can be stabbed in the back without turning around - this is part of your self-development. It's really quite sad - I assume the Dayton family is rolling over in their graves - almost lie a pig on a spit.

Every time they shake things up... they behave as if it just solved everything.... nope. Crappy leaders + crappy decisions = crappy results and talent sticking around just long enough to see if they will get laid off and/or get their bonus. TGT will be Sears/K-mart sooner than later.

Seems there are always rumors of layoffs or legitimate layoffs. Why the hell would anyone want to work for a company that continually blows opportunities, fails to recognize talent and shake up the resource pool every 6 months?

It was and will be a toxic environment.

Layoffs and associated package is all anyone at Target wants. I would include SVP and above in that statement, given their awesome parachutes.

Kind of funny if true would be the second major re-org for .com in 3 years. At some point Target has to ask themselves is this a talent or a leadership issue. If your only answer is to shake the etchisketch of your resource pool every 3 years all you create is a toxic place to work. Good luck everyone. May you find better leaders in your future. I did, in the 3 years since I got hit in the last .com layoff. I found I could make a bigger impact and much nicer salary on the outside.

So what do we know: TTS is hiring like crazy at many locatiosn in the U.S. Are there going to be RIF's in Minneapolis like the OP asked? Probably not. Our struggling with english fried "fearful" though may know something about RIF's outside of the U.S.

The question was and is what work center and what date did a RIF (reduction in force warning) go out. No one has asked who. (name) Otherwise this is simply hyperbole.

Strange...I thought we were still hiring 100s of engineers.

I think you did lot of research about me. However, you simply observe , I posted everything with my name as " Fearful Scrum Master" . You don't need to do lot of research to find this out. As far as layoffs are concerned, it is real news and I can't disclose who told me this ( as it will put that person in trouble). I am done with Target and started searching for job and will jump ship as soon as I find one.

OP its asking about RIF's. Confirm then RIF date and specific work center. I'm very skeptical of izop's comments because he literally had multiple back and forth with himself in the thread he's mentioning. the use of .. and beginning sentences in lower case gave it away. Confirm with facts please.

yes. Layoffs are confirmed. They will happen in Second week of January .. see the thread I have started (just below this). There is going to be blood bath. TTS will have lot of layoffs (Mike is ready for this big re-org). Dotcom is going to go through big changes and they will layoff 30 % of the engineering staff ..it is confirmed news from one of the sr. leader
