Some people are great at blowing their own trumpet, making what they are paid to do sound like massive achievements. Usually it's managers and desk jockeys who have the time to add notes to their performance journals and basically take credit for other people's ideas and suggestions. Then there are the rest of us, who come to work and just get on with it without any fuss.

My boss at Stonywood told me the same, but said not tell nobody. This seems to be some underhand way to reduce headcount in the New Year.

My line manager says he received a memo stating that non compliance (not completing) with APR, would more than likely result in lay off. Troubling times.

Remember GE uses a process that every year they let 10% go to bring in new people with new ideas . Anyone with any time with Baker should be concerned . This goes back to the days of Jack Welch.

I always lie on the APR, thus assuring myself a good pay increase. But don't tell everyone.

As you assess your goals, make sure you provide any relevant comments for consideration during your performance discussions with GE HR. Your job and continuing employment will depend on it.
