What a day, and night at the fell. What is disgusting is how it's not been questioned why a certain manager who scored people still has his family member sitting in fitters office when should be in the floor? Secondment? He isn't a technician or if he is why not in pool? He is not a fitter as has no qualifications? He was the anson labourer but because his uncle Steve is a manager he goes under the radar and gets promoted? Just found this out tonight but it stinks. Good luck all who left today, those who are left.....it's going to be bad unless top management come over and question decisions made. Headcount reduction is acceptable, keeping family and friends is not! Qualifications on the table time would answer alot! Good luck all

Don't worry about a letter, just get out! All experience will be gone next week and then what? Take your money and run, bad craic about some old foreman as that knowledge is never coming back and old one eye is looking after his mates but higher management are not questioning any decisions he makes. Like the good old days and the end is near for Gateshead.
Still no letters for some and 45 days have passed. Hope I get one soon so I can question how a mate of Mr Dales who has only been at the company 4 months is allowed to score people with over 10 or 20 year's service? He has no idea what knowledge people have and the guys useless. Don't worry if you live at Stanley, your manager has yours and his families back. Absolute joke the scores some supervisors have been given, let's hope they appeal and things get moving up the chain as Hankys management team are worse than the old, it's not going to end good when all that remains is the crap that are unable to get jobs elsewhere. Pleas give me a letter and let me go with my 3k. Wonder if other Nov facilities are aware we got offered this due to management mistake and we are creaming another half million out of the pot!
I heard a minimum 39 of 50 have applied for voluntary redundancy from the CNC's alone, that sort of number speaks for itself of how this company has turned out. 30 years of growing, 12 months to ruin.
