@jez LOL... are you jealous that Germans are still more productive than you Americans despite working only 40 hour weeks and not being reachable around the clock?

I have the doubtful pleasure of working with an American team, and it's funny when they complain about not being able to call you on the weekend. On Monday, I ask them why they needed me on the weekend. They answer "Well, that issue had to be fixed!" Then I ask them why, and they go "My manager told me to fix it on the weekend!" I have never facepalmed that much before in my life.

What does that mean?

They want to reduce their hours from 40 per week down to 35 to match the French?

They want to increase their PTO from 6 to 8 weeks?

As well as not been contactable outside 9-5 mon-fri they also don't want to be contacted with any issues from the customer side?

They want American high salaries but German workers rights?
