Thread regarding CDW Corp. layoffs

CDW is changing

It used to be a great place, with good environment to work in. CDW is changing, and not for the better. And the one thing that should be changed ASAP, remains the same. This old-school management style which drags this company into abyss. A lot of talented folks, folks with knowledge, get overlooked because of it, and a lot of them leave because of it. Now it's just a good place to start a career, not to stay in.

The first layoff was in 2009 - that is when things went south:

"Old School" kind of depends on the department you are with - I used to work in Marketing and it was fairly bad but I know that some of my firends on the tech side really liked here.

So, it really depends on the department and the person you report into. Now, this is not any rocket science nor endemic to CDW, it's a norm out there...
