y'all are ID 10 Ts. Be grateful you have food to eat and a roof over your head. Then find some way to be more productive with your time rather than griping about how bad things are.
LOL! Why would a company purge the talented people and keep the scrubs? Whatever makes you feel better about your situation, I guess.
There is no talent at apc any more. The smart folks have all found other jobs. The scrubs left are scrambling kissing a-- trying desperately to save their jobs. Apc can't get the iP addresses from this site. Whoever is monitoring at apc is doing so and trying to figure out who people are but they won't. lol. And they would be better served to focus on saving apc.
Reading some of these responses, there is no doubt Layoff were and still are needed.

You just want to take my position, get me to hate my job and quit so you can go and apply.
Why would you voluntarily work for an employer who would resort to scare tactics? Even if you did not get the "ax" would you be comfortable continuing employment moving forward?

Let them monitor last time I checked we were allowed to be free thinkers with our own opinions ... track if you want to however idc ;) you cannot silence us all. Keep hiding behind your bubble but people's livelihoods are at stake and for that reason I will not be silenced it's not like there are tons of other jobs out there...
Surfing using the office internet is already logged. Very little additional effort to sort the data. Whether or not logs are used it seems foolish to ignore the risk.
This site's privacy policy is intended to encourage open debate and rumormonhering. I am not sure whether threats to stab people with screwdrivers crosses a legal or policy line. Or incitements to violence against company management, employees or property.
Anyway keep the Panama Papers in mind.
Based on what I know, only Layoffs' servers can log/record your IP but there is no sharing or disclosure of it unless in emergency cases in accordance to the law in situations as if someone has been threatened. Now from Anadarko, your IP can easily be tracked. Also, hackers could but that's illegal, just don't name names, divulge proprietary information, harass/threaten anyone.
To the guy (or gal) or said APC monitors this sight and records IP addresses, and subsequently APC themselves.
Is it actually helping to spend time and energy monitoring open communication websites, recording IP addresses, and then tracking each and every evil dooer who contributes to their content?
Is it helping meet production goals? helping lower OPEX? Is it comforting to shareholders?
It seems to me that rather than spending money trying to catch people looking at a website, I would say your peoples time is better spent actually contributing to your goal, like making oil, and driving your costs down by improving efficiency.
I'd their is an issue with people not communicating openly I would suggest you evaluate the leadership withing the organization, as they are responsible for the environment and therefore the attitude of those operating within. As open communication is a core value, your people should have no issue bringing their questions and concerns to their superiors. Listen to your people, they are the lifeblood of your organization, if they're healthy, you're healthy. The fact that people are posting anonymously is a sign you have an issue, rather that threatening those posters, figure out what's driving them to post. Then address the driving force. Remember, when an employee feels safe and comfortable, they will not take time out of their day to complain on website. Time is money!
Sure they can! You are aware that they monitor this website, and record all of the IP address, which are extremely easy to look up as to who they belong too!!!
