Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

NOV Houston, TX

So Ive been hearing through the pipeline that the NOV Tuboscope Houston is either closing or possibly moving there employees to other locations. Is this accurate or just more bs. Word is management in Ohio is under the microscope due to the Union vote. Possibly a hand in hand thing.

The vote for a union at the Youngstown Ohio Tuboscope location has nothing to do with the huston shut down. Electing representation by the international operatoring engineers 95 is for the better of the employees. The sight management displayed countless actions that re pl repressed advancements, held back certification raises, attempted to eliminate lunch breaks, forced double standards on employees for production purposes, and countless other soon to be proven allegations in NLRB hearings. The union vote is certified, and will be working towards contract negotiations.
