Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

When are the Montrose/Dundee redundancies coming?

Can't be long until they are announced? That time of the year again, management known for months when they are getting implemented just got no balls to say anything! Heard of some work maybe coming to rig solutions from merpro may save some of workshop guys, but management and certain offices must get hit. No doubt it will be the workshop guys tho.

I thought the service guys already complete competency so why test them

Depends how you get on with the tests set for the service guys which are a pile of crap, they were for internal PLC training but are being used to prove competency, the Siemens certification does preciesly that and is a internationally recognised certification program, is NOV's training ? Just another way to try and segregate the next round of people.

To be honest, with the amount of folk leaving, they won't need to pay any FSE's off.

£25k is terrible but it is a wage for people. That said I especially like the engineers who put it on fb that they are in the airport lounge living the jet set lifestyle lol yeh you are travelling to somewhere with terrible conditions for £25k per annum it's hilarious how people lie on fb they never put on the rubbish wage they are earning.

Cant wait for the irate response to this just because I've put your wage on and you can't pretend anymore cue the replies of embarrassment lol.
