I was RIF'ed in Jan 16 and have been reading the discussions and trying to give some opinions. I have been trying give some advices that I think are useful. But I have found that some just don't seem to move on ahead, But instead, they just complain, complain which are not going to change things. The fact is ANY companies will have some layoffs at sometimes. I have been laid off three times from different big and small companies. NO COMPANY IS PERFECT. People have to be prepared and be responsible for their own future. NO COMPANY WILL TAKE CARE YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

I feel you brother! Been in Aerospace 37 yrs. and have had some long stretches with large & small companies. Not all, but many Honeywell old timers are just way too entitled on what Honeywell owes them. This furlough thing becoming a norm is b__lSh%t. With all the bean counters and "real smart" guys in ALT? I don't buy it... For the first time ever, I can say that I was not paid for every minute I worked.
