We rely on getting a tool before company man boils us down, yet these procurement folks tell me dont worry we ordered the part and be there in 72hours. Before i use to be able to get a part within same day and made clients happy

we call them Supprising Chain
SLB should hire Walmart's or Amazon's HR & supply chain VPs. Those people would fire most of SLB's useless supply chain personnel and replace them for a fraction of the cost and 10x the productivity
I worked in supply chain and saved the company no less than 10 millions by resourcing & negotiations and reduced the cost to delivery for many high runner product lines. I quit for better personal development opportunities recently but I still think slb is not a bad company to work for. Company is always longing profit. Redundancy is necessary to survive. If someone pay you but there is no work to do or you are asked to repeat the same job every day, will you stay? I will quit since it is wasting my time. The relationship between employees and the company is just a contract. I do the job for the company but also for myself and for the opportunity to learn new skills.
Take it easy.
They focus on making great presentations with fake numbers fooling management theyre delivering low cost. They are ruining our relationship with suppliers that counted us for support. Anytime i send an email to a supply chain person, i get fesponse days later or no response at all. I wish our folks in their pretty office werent so incompetent
They don't care about the customers anymore
72 hours, amazing. Typical lead time from product center is 12 to 16 weeks. You field types need to plan ahead ....,
72 hours? Who is buying for you? I only get Colombian people who take weeks to get regular office supplies
They would not last the day in any other organization. Dealing with suppliers is not their strong point.
