Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel Should Consider a Breakup

Here is the article.

http://investorplace.com/2016/11/intel-corporation-intc-stock-breakup-ipmedia/#.WBzKhvkrKUk

Intel is now chasing after the "fireworks" market and trying to replace fireworks with drone light shows... Intel is falling far behind on all technology roadmaps and is essentially directionless.

Idiot incompetent BK and the Board need to face lawsuits for their lack of accountability and poor decisions.

Intels core expertise is around design and manufacturing of silicon Integrated Circuits.

There is value in the design side but TMG is an albatross.

The founders were intellectual, academic and business legends.

Let us not confuse intels past greatness with any belief that the leaders today on the Board, the CEO or the other leaders are close to this caliber, they are actually very below average starting with the CEO!

Intel got lucky in the 80s with x86. Grove and Moore really knew how to leverage it to greatness. But the monopoly created a string of long time very below average leaders who were the luckiest people alive building richness and careers beyond belief. I am absolutely sure many of them leaders especially the bozo from San Jose State if they were to have gone to Motorola, National, IBM or AMD they would be little more than average mid level managers or risen to only watch their empire crumble, but now they get to destroy this great company!

At this point x86 still is valuable given its monopoly status, probable worth about 25-30 bucks a share. The rest beyond hard assets not worth much!

TMG... beyond their captive ability to make x86 their factories are small, inflexible and not cost competitive. This year TSMC and Samsung will match them in technology and far exceed them in scale, flexibility and cost. I would hate to be part of that albatross when it gets spun off, serious ACTs will be required for that organization

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Grasping at straws at its worst. BK is really trying to shoot at everything, but this lack of focus will clearly be the company's downfall. No clear vision and much less a viable strategy.

I'm ashamed to say I worked at Intel. I tell people I worked there when the founders were around and it was a great company, and retired before its downturn.

Google funds research projects with loose connections to its search business and future aspirations in handsets and elsewhere - Google Glass, Google Maps, speech recognition, street view, self driving cars. But it has a growing and highly profitable core business. Intel has a shrinking core business and no obvious way out. But Intel now get press for announcements about drones, robots, mica bracelets, VR, fashion week, fireworks, etc. A new group called Intel Sports??! Really? Who sees a business model there that matters to a $50B company? If an when Intel could morph into a company around these, it would be 10K people, broken up and 20 years down the road.

What a cluster f--. Never before has Intel been so rudder-less and in a death spiral with hopeless leadership.

Yeah, that's where the real high margin, high volume business is, in Fireworks! LOL so hard my side hurts. Hasta la vista Intel!

Only stupid, politically correct moron liberals would think of replacing those historic, great fireworks shows with drones. Typical BK. Let's see if that can support your 100K employee base. NOT! Joke.

I use to tell people I worked for Intel and am now retired. I am now embarrassed to even talk about Intel and what BK and the others have done to Intel. Its time to dump INTC stock and move on. Intel is dead...

Company split seems inevitable at this point. They are definitely setting up all the pieces (hiring of Murthy, Bob Swan, re-positioning of Stacy Smith) and will probably execute the split within 2 years.

I'm embarrassed to even have been a part of this once great company. Talk about grasping at straws.
