Why are you celebrating? plenty of experienced people who did nothing wrong have their livelihoods under threat. The people who made the decisions will use their transferable skills (e.g. being an a--hole) to get equivalent jobs in other industries. Most people who were let go will just have more competition in a job market with fewer companies hiring on. Baker and GE will be laying people off, Weatherford could possibly go bankrupt or shrink into a shrivelled mess. SLB won't hire you and will probably buy up anyone that you could consider joining. No good news here and nothing to celebrate in failure. if the CEO were to change that may be the closest to good news we could get.
