Century link is laying off 8k by the end of the year, they are looking to outsource most of the operations overseas. Thats not even including Level 3 merger. All Management, HR, Directors, NOC and Field Techs. Former FTW, Contractors will be let go first with no severance packages or Retention bonuses. Centurylink is the lower paying of most carriers. Some staff have not had raises in over 4 years. You have been warned.

So are they going to offshore Level 3 IP jobs as well or decrease pay?

They are increasingly their outsourcing overseas not caring what the customer feels
Level 3 destroyed tw telecom. Centurylink is about to destroy Level 3. Our customers are the ones suffering for it. Give me the severance I've earned and I will be happy to leave.
It will only be a matter of time and level3 will get it too. Sorry
What does that mean for level 3 employees (which I am not, contractor). As a contractor should I be looking elsewhere for work at this point, prior to being shown the door by CL.
