Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

What is your expectation on 2016 Q4 earnings call and SLB business in 2017?

I know I will hear “the worst is behind us” sxxx again and blaming poor performance on Cameron as a bonus. Also, ridiculous transformation will continue with perhaps another round of engage to excel?

Only "the protected" will survive. This is why so called "transformation" will never change the sh--ty core of this company forever.

Top executives and transformation teams are valuable assets to SLB in this difficult time. They deserve every penny from the company.

Everything will get worse, except the top executives' compensation.

The interns will become seniors, the seniors get laid off. Same formula just more of the same reduce reduce reduce the number of heads/ dept to figure out where the reasonable profit tipping point is.

I guess it should be ok since Schlumberger is not really a technology company anymore. They only need the "TRANSFORMATION" team.

Those at 85+ points are quietly being 'retired'. Soon, there will be no Advisors or Principals left.

SLB will continue to suffer in 2017. Not much hope for the current management and transformation.

I think there will still be layoffs Q1 2017. Still have to adjust to the oil prices.
