Of course cuts are required as x86 sales continue to fall. Stupid and destined to fail thrusts in Modems, IoT, and such will have gross margins in the 30-40% range far lower than servers or client. So the 20k isn't enough and it has to be ruthless trimming not this stupid focus on old people or lowers performers.
You need to cut whole divisions but sadly Murthy even doesn't know when to start.
Big ACTs are coming in 2017 about 20K and another 25K in 2018!
