Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

I only get 2% bonus even though I have good rating. What's the bonus range this yr. Either my manager is not honest or HPE is really sinking.

I was WFR'd back in June, but was lucky enough to find a new job in a different company. I started work there in Sept. End of year bonus... 6.5%.

I got top box rating and was told the company (ES) made no money so no raise/no bonus/no stock, Pay has been stagnant for 7 years with yearly bonus only return not that is gone. I am billed at $150+ and have never been un-billable for even a month for my 16 years. HPe is better than unemployment, but that's about all I can say. It will only get worse (if possible) with the CSC/HPe spin off. 142 billion in Revenue but the company made no money, let that sink in for a minute. Why don't we fire the Top Management who cannot make money on that kind of revenue.

No raise no bonus. ES

My bonus was 4%. Given I worked in SW, I'm kinda shocked. But I'm also shocked I got a bonus after getting WFR'd.

My last raise was in 2005 = 5%. I took the early retirement offer in early 2013. I've managed to pick up a few low-end desktop contracts but have exhausted most of my savings. Desperate for work now and I'm considering taking minimum wage positions. I'm located in south eastern Ontario and IT positions are hard to come by. Be glad you are making a professional salary and if you are still at HPE then start looking elsewhere while you still have a job eg. no gaps in your resume - the HR clowns hate gaps.

Had a very good review last week, 'driving' or whatever, still. My manager is 2 time zones away, we've never met, but a good guy unfortunately caught up in the company's kool-aid. But he's very frank and honest with me. Said ES did not meet targets, all raise pool was going to lower-cost countries (India) to try and retain talent. Also stated what others have; bonus pool was much smaller and selective people got something. I got 2.6% and frankly that's fine for me. I don't have kids and am quite stable financially so I don't have the stress others have, and I feel for them. This company is definitely not the place to be under those cercimstances.

I'm in what will remain HPE (the HPC/Apollo org), bonus/raise/RSU was very similar to what -2okp posted (though with a 'driving' instead of 'accelerating'). I refrain from posting actual numbers as I imagine that's reasonably uniquely identifiable.

All of EG is not equal. Take a look at what you're working on. Is it Aruba, Edgeline, HPC, Hyperconverged, or something given similar emphasis by Alain and above? If it is, you're probably doing ok. If you're in more traditional ISS (say, 380/360/350 products), things are likely not as good. The doom and gloom on this board is not warranted across the entire company, but it certainly is for some areas.

Remain HPE Co... But as I mentioned as far as know and talked with others this is not normal and expected by many groups.

Well I'm a normal employee, had the best raiting, not "good" as many mentioned, and I got 4.2% bonus and 3% salary increase plus 450 RSU. Also I know this is not the normal numbers for most employees this year. Sad that the company is going down the hill...

1-2% bonus but only for top performers (no bonus for others) and no raises for anyone in my group for the 3rd year in a row - we are in ES.

Hi,

You mentioned that HR had your name on it. However isn't the manager that puts your name on it?

My boss was a VP, however we had directors making between 225-295,000 a year.

I spent months seeing names on WFR lists. HR does a spread sheet with every employee on it, this spread sheet has every detail with a last box of total cost to have the person employed. People being let go didn't do anything wrong, its down to who you know, not what you know, if HR likes you, and your rating is high and the dollars are right your safe this time. I watched my own name be put on and off a few times. I grew up with wanting to work for this legendary company, I loved HP and gave it my all, its sad to see what is happening. I was hurt and mad but that wont help you find a new job, if you are let go look at it like a blessing in disguise, I'm glad to be off the roller coaster.

@1zqm your boss received $315k salary??? What level is he/she at? Director, VP or SVP? This is ridiculous!! Most of the management spend time on politics and BS. Why are we accepting this slavery system???

@1zqm how were you able to find out your boss's salary and bonus info? I'm curious because I'd like to know that info for mine.

What good is keeping your job at HPE when they pay lousy wages and treat you like dirt? My new job paid better, I have plenty of room for increasing my salary within my level, no roadblocks to advancement, and 25% bonus potential. HPE is a terrible employer

At least you didn't get laid off with no explanation this year during 4Q while continuing to have great reviews and being told you're doing such awesome work. Just make sure you're searching for other opportunities while being employed!

Making it through every Monday without WFR info is a weekly time extension at HPE.

I got a good review and was let go after many years of employment, there has never been a guarantee to get a bonus at HP/HPE. Only upper management will get good bonuses anyway, last year I got 5% of my income at 70k my boss got 47% of his 315,000 income then large amounts of stock options.

Before I was let go, I was privy to emails showing WFR's every quarter through 2017, I would look for a better job as there may not be a bonus or income to worry about next year.

Just because you did not get a bonus, you do not have the right to tell the OP to not complain. Bottom line is that 2% bonus STINKS. Have no doubt that higher level folks are well taken care of at the expense of rank and file.

You got a bonus? Well consider yourself blessed and do not complain. I am in ES which did really well, but EG brought everything down so very few got ANYTHING. We were told in employee meetings that the bonus pool was not fully funded which meant not many bonuses to be had. I got nada even though I had a glowing review. So getting a 2% bonus is HUGE and considered yourself very very lucky. (US based employee writing this BTW.) No raises or long term incentives were given out to anyone per my manager either.

In EG the pool was about half of last year. 2% bonus is about in line with what I have heard. few, much smaller, raises if any.

Depends where you're located, if you're in support, you will hear the excuse that TS did not meet its goals, and then the whole hiring of contractors and Renovations Etc so you will expect they want to 2% raise and a 1/2 2% bonus

HPE is just not the same company it used to be.
