Sounds like you were used to provide the "gopher" work that management treasures AND to be held at your senior level until the time was right for mgmt to protect themselves by outing you! They probably have you an sl4 saying that you had no significant accomplishments even though THEY controlled your time and output by using you for pretty slide shows. I went through the same thing and have suffered the same fate.

5-10 years at Intel is ideal. Any more than 10 years at Intel counts against you. I made the mistake of focusing mostly on ppt and xls when I became sr staff engr. It got me recognition at Intel, but did not help me elsewhere when I was ISPed.
All my interviewers lived my decades of intel experience and all gave me offers! If you are good they want you. If you are a ppt and excel monkey or manager better stay on the Titanic!
True. Indicates the underlying type of person you may have become (IE lying, scheming, no accomplishments, backstabbing).
