Relax and take it easy. Drink some Kool-Aid. You will find that life is much better outside IBM. My situation is infinitely better since leaving Big Blue in 2015.

We're all losers. He's not going to do a damn thing, that is obvious. No "lock her up", no "build that wall", no "drain the swamp", no nothing except make a joke out of our country, enrich him and his kids, and get us all killed. I keep laughing to myself, thinking about all of the knuckle-dragging mouth breathers chanting all that stuff at his rallies. Back then I thought "how dumb can you be" and now it's confirmed.
The article says all I need to know about the sponsor of the petition - he says "here’s Ginni Rometty in an unqualified way reaching out to an admin whose electoral success was based on racist programs.” This is an anti-Trump sore loser trying to make a political point. Time to move on.
I really do not see the benefit behind this petition. IBM does what IBM wants to do. They are there to please the stockholders and they really do not care about you, the individual. In my opinion, this petition is just a way to vent... Get over it and get on with your life. If you are not happy at IBM, start looking now.
All U.S. based employees should get out while you can. It's easier to get a job when you have a job. I was axed in 2009 and I am in a much better place.
It's probably going nowhere but it sends a few messages. For one, calling out Ginni Rometty on her BS. For another, letting the executives, financial analysts and others know that there is deep dissension and morale problems within IBM. For another, letting anyone who would even think about working at IBM how much it s---s and how evil the company is toward its employees.

In case some of you just commented from reading just the headline, this is in the petition as well :(4) Treat established workers with dignity by restoring the 2015 Individual Separation Allowance Plan that provided severance based on years of employment instead of the current one-month severance plan for all employees, regardless of time served.
(5) Make IBM retirement plan contributions equitable by restoring company 401k match contributions to regular pay cycles instead of a one-time, year-end contribution that is contingent on being employed as of December 15 of the calendar year, which is not fair to employees who are laid off before that date.
