Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Today's performance proves Murthy Renduchintala is fully assimilated into Intel culture

Gone are the promises of doing more and speaking less. Murthy was in full Intel "leader" mode today, taking about initiatives in qualitative terms. Expressing Intel's capabilities superlatives the describe the reasons he joined (like he had s choice after being fired from Q).

My only reaction after the event was numbness. How Can anyone talk to long about nothing definitive.

What does the following mean:

  1. playing to win.

  2. working As one Intel.

  3. executing exquisitely.

it looks like the only accelerated transformation is one of Murthy bank balance.

Did he mention the virtuous cycle or has that term been flushed down the toilet already? I can't even remember what it was about. It was supposed to be a winning intel strategy or something.

Oh, it was a compliment @1xrl. No, I'm not a Trump fan but the man DOES play to win and win he does.

What does the following mean:

playing to win. (old version: do it right the first time)

working As one Intel. (old version: disagree and commit)

executing exquisitely. (old version: dazzle and delight our customers)

"

We used to call this "drive by management" - worthless crap slogans from some management book. You could make a comedy about it if Office Space hadn't already been made.

oooooo.... I think you might be on to something @1zer. Intel can create leadership drones to replace all the incompetent leaders! lol

I think there is a leadership buzz phrase generator that all these guys use, something that essentially creates a verb/adverb string. Favorite verbs include "execute", perform", "work", and "achieve". Favorite adverb/adverb strings include "to win", "flawlessly", "as one", "together", and "inclusively". I could write a bot that could apply this algorithm and save Intel a lot of money on what passes as leadership.

OP grow a brain !!!!

What Murthy 😘 😘 😊stated is clear and makes sense to any goal and results oriented employee.

Fired or not - Murthy still had a choice of many employers to choose from.

Unlike the long time Intel l0$ers laidoff without work options, no skills besides using Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Project and Excel) doomed to remain unemployed.
