Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Will PK and executive team take a deferred paycut ?

Say 10% reduction in basic salary for 12 months which will be paid at end of 12 months.

This will generate some cash in immediate term for saving jobs.

Perhaps we should contact President-elect on twitter about great divide in Schlumberger

Why? Because they are driving the company into sh-- hole. Keeping us afloat? Are you f---ing high? You need drug screening.

Why should Paal or any of his staff take a pay cut? They are driving the business and keeping us all afloat.

OP, I would like to stay positive about this topic, but it seems like it won't happen unless the board makes a decision to kick out greedy executives. And of course, the board is as greedy as SLB executives.

Base salary is just a fraction of the executive compensation package. You think they are counting on the biweekly paycheck to make ends meet? Their most income are stock options, stock award, lump sump bonus etc. Their net pay is taking a hit as well. But the end result is just one less vacation house in Greece. How cares?
