Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The nightmare scenario for Intel just became real. It's going to get a lot worse, not just with Windows10, but also with Fruit Company's OSX

If Microsoft is launching Windows 10 (a full desktop version, not RT) on ARM processor, you can bet Apple is working hard on getting OSX (full desktop version, not a crippled iOS) to run on it's ARM A11 processor too...

Apple needs to do this, because the laptop/tablet/phone will eventually be just 1 mobile computing device......And if apple is going to be spending time to get OSX (full) to run on ARM, you can beat there's no need to keep x86 around for the desktop....And apple is experienced and good at switching processor technology..It did this when it abandoned the PowerPC processors for x86..... And it really doesn't make sense for Apple to continue to build it's on ARM processor in house for mobile and source x86 for desktop.

Intel will be a much smaller company and a shadow of its former self in 2-3 years time. Any questions? Class dismissed ...

We already know fruit company ARMy cores on 16nm at low power wipe Intel.

Scale to 10nm this year and 7nm next means Mac line will move to ARMy.

With windows also being enabled and additional firepower of scaling to 7nm intel is finished.

In 2018 ARMy will be on 7nm and intel best case ramping a horribly low yielding 10nm. TSMC and Samsung will each be producing more CPU on their respective 7nm, forget the billions on their 10nm too

Anyone question the tipping point has been passed for BK?
