But he was Just thinking from an Intel perspective. really what he was saying Is he wants to create excitement around Intel processor launches.
It's now obvious Microsoft has other strategies to expand It's user base. 200m PC Is Not The market They want.
Hard to believe Intel pays a $25M bonus to a nut job that makes such a backward statement. Players like this have caused the downfall of Intel.

This comment by Murthy demonstrates he's aiming at a target that's passed. Apple has a hard time now getting much excitement over the latest iphone launch. Google Pixel at least is something different.

Fact of the matter what intel makes no one really gives much a phuck about.
Servers are like electrical generators, the server providers do. Rest of us treat it like our electricity it is just there.
X86 PC just as long as it has enough storage and connects to the net and isn't dead battery... we don't care either.
So all about cost, scale and technology capability.

How do you get excited with Microsoft products and windows 10? I have it and some of the things are good..but other things in windows 10 is horrid. Too many things are buried and too many things -example compare Windows 7 to Windows 10 calculator and you get the picture what Windows 10 is all about - lots and lots of WHITE SPACE!! For Intel Soc, really, 3-5% performance increase can generate the same excitement as an iPhone? Really? Get a clue!!
