If the TCO RIF number is not greater than 300, I would be shocked. Many talented engineers and technicians were walked out the door today. I do not know what the future for TCO is but can say it is not delivering products. TCO product delivery no longer exists. Someone said it clearly in another thread, "TCO is on the SHR\OKC path to closure". I would be surprised if this location is staffed this time next year. TCO 20+ and 30+ year veterans were let go 12/6. I am sure other companies and industry will benefit but that TCO Seagate whos who of talent and experience is gone.

160 at the shakopee location and 80 at the Colorado location
My dad works at Shakopee and was laid off - said aprox. 300 others at his location, too.
word is LCO got hit with 20% but that # includes open recs
so probably 50-100 in reality
I think the numbers are skewed. A good source stated less then 200 people from TCO. Not 300-400.

LCO trimming seems to hit old / super senior engineers and managers that don't have much impact anymore. Not sure about outside the FW org
Looks like Engineering both in MN and CO are being trimmed.

TCO has a big layoff today, 12/06/2016. No finalized number yet. At lease, 2 of my friends are impacted.
What are you talking about. I am not sure where the rumors come from but many people mentioned 300 or 400 layoffs from SHK today, and this is false, at least I did not see any yet today. As well some local news sites would definitely cover that number of layoffs.
