Year of salary is a minimum and assume Intel will give you nothing. Times will be bleak and this time around they won't be generous for sure. Actually with 20k or more going into the frigid waters you may need two years of salary if you are a dime a dozen slave labor.
Don't forget housing market will melt down and even at market price housing will likely not move. Think Las Vegas and Phoenix in the last bust for those neighborhoods that are heavily intel. Don't forget the high cost of medical as Intel benefits were world class.
Be ready to relocate to where the jobs are and leave family behind or have to uproot leaving your boat anchor worthless home empty to the meth renters.
