TCO got jacked. All groups lost a significant number of engineers. I was surprised at who was cut. Not sure why but know there is no recovery. TCO is less capable. At one past point I would have said TCO was a model for disc drive product delivery. Now, I am not sure what tco is but suspect it will be closed within 6 to 12 months. One thing is certain, no product will ever be launched from TCO ever again. The people to do that effectively; as of 12/6 are now gone. I hope the new mission is clearly defined but suspect it will not be clear and the end result will be the remaining personnel RIFd within the next 12 months. I would not plan on any internal or external Christmas parties for 2017. On a good note; Amazon might be looking for a new fulfillment facility in Shakopee so Seagate might at least be able to recoup the facility cost by selling to Amazon.
TCO HDIG group lost 5 out of 20 people today.
I believe it was 13/31 in read/wrote that got cut.
I am not sure what is not true. Some what less then 200 people were let go from TCO. And more layoffs are coming in the following months.
It's not true though.
What if this is true? what difference are you going to make it on affected people....Let's get real and do right things and just simply be a human....
Nice try.
