Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

coincidence or the path to being a high powered Intel exec

there are a lot of Intel high managers who started with Batchalors degree in ee. then become verification engineers for a few years. some BS marketing job then Intel vp to svp. Look at Aicha achieved nothing/rewarded highly

Aicha isn't the only female exec that went from

... being a manager to VP...

within 5 years of being at Intel.

You contradicted yourself @qzi

"A young URM wasn't being promoted ....more qualified passed over for URM... URM is put before real performance"

There are many over-qualified URMs at Intel, with extended outside work experience which is more valuable to changing the stupid ways Intel works.

Long stays at Intel (10-20years) in high grades (managers, directors, grade 9 -11) don't even know what a project is, such a shame!!! If they could include going to the bathroom and getting coffee at the cafeteria to a list of projects being tracked, they would. Everything done in a job is not a project.

They all think the same, try to correct them and they will all gang up on ya' arguing their flawed knowledge😂 😂 😂 in a meeting... so some of us are just passing our time till it's time to go... so let them do their whatever and let them think they are right. The way they run their agile sprints is laughable too. Just go with the flow. No smart person is going to stay at Intel and devalue their skills with Intel's bu11sheet ways of working.

LONG STAYS OF INTEL and nowhere to go don't know much, they should not be judge of who is deserving or non-deserving. There are many good reasons for why people are being brought into Intel and then promoted fast.

System is rigged against real performers in favor of URM.

Every focal we looked hard at URM, I was actually challenged twice in the last couple years why a young URM wasn't being promoted or moved to manager. My GM was so desperate to up hos dashboard he'd push hard for less than worthy above far more deserving... under BK the metrics for URM is put before real performance and has waterfalls to bad behavior at the lower level, terrible... simple an embarrassment.

I feel terrible for the more qualified passed over for URM only to make senior executive numbers look good
