Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel should be like avago/Broadcom. Screw engineering. Just grow by acquisition, hiring and layoffs.

Look at how avago/Broadcom works. All they do us buy companies, layoff people, chop the acquired target into pieces, and sell them. And they are incredibly proud to at doing it.

Intel should just do the same thing.

As was previously said, BK could not manage a lemonade stand. He has had 4 years to prove that statement wrong.

When an insider was made CEO I knew intel was in big trouble. To many old friends to do the right thing, the new external executives while a superficial attempt, the really required sweeping structural and strategic changes have not come yet, stormy times a coming and they look indeed terrible

BK lacks any kind of business building knowledge so would not have a clue on how to manage a chop shop. BTW shame on Doug Davis for his excitement when BK was selected for CEO. Doug exclaimed, "He's one of us!" Which was probably the last thing Intel needed. Lol.

BK doesn't have the intelligence to do a buy and chop and make money, but buy and sell pennies on the dollar intel knows how to do and do well!

How ironic:) I was recruited by avago/broadcom, after I had left Intel at last ACT party. And I'll tell you something - they don't screw the engineering:)

No no

Intel is not doing the same thing as avago.

Intel actually cares about trying to grow the acquired company. Avago is completely the opposite

The only reason why avago buys companies is for the only purpose of selling it in parts and making a lot of money doing it.

It's like avago buying a used car, chopping up it up into pieces and selling the pieces as used parts where the sum for parts ends up being twice as much as the original cost of the used car.

In other words, Intel should be a chop shop in the chip sector. Intel isn't... It has a habit of overpaying for a business and then selling it on 10cents on the dollar.

OP - I thought that's exactly what Intel is doing. And it doesn't seem to be going well.

They already tried growing by acquisition. You don't need to be told how well their acquisitions are working out, do you? LOL
