Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Even KK seems not knowing what will happen

Last email from KK clearly says that all on TPG&SL table to decide. From all the talk the options seems to be:

  1. Avaya goes ch11

  2. Avaya continues with CC sold to cover debt

  3. Avaya goes ch11 with CC sold to cover debt. Ch11 because revenue without CC won't pay the debt

Massive layoffs will come with any scenario. TPG&SL to decide before mid of December. Anyway as long as you still have value in the market, look for other options.

Good luck for all

Please tell me they aren't telling you to tell your customers it's "Business as Usual" we know how that worked last time.

how are US partners reacting to the recent news?

I'm in US sales. None of my peers, myself included, are actively seeking new business until we know what is going to happen. Especially since we are in a recoverable draw period right now (no incentive to sell, commission is the same regardless of what we sell). Obviously, no customers are wanting to move over from Cisco, Shoretel, etc. right now because they have seen the WSJ article. Additionally, all of my current accounts have requested a meeting with senior leadership to ease their mind. The problem is, senior leadership has been unable to ease any minds due to lack of concrete knowledge on the end game. My largest CC customer has paused all orders until the dust is settled.
