NOV is so ripe with nepotism. Laying off good workers to keep the well connected who are clueless, don't know the job duties, and cannot turn the ship around. That Varco merger brought in the wrecking crew and turned a great company into a den of corruption. People taking home millions who don't deserve thousands. Too many clueless chiefs and vice-chiefs and vice-vice chiefs, all with their own wrecking-crew agenda. What a great company turned into dust.

Varco management is just one of the problems. They are so blind that if you don't belong to their inbreed club, your out.
Ha! That is funny, 90% of the Varco senior management left after the merger because they were highly educated and skilled and put under moronic, lazy or corrupt NOI guys. What you see running the Rig group now was stuck in middle management Varco people who couldn't get promoted before but now that all of the highly qualified people are out of the way . . . but the Varco middle management was less stupid, lazy or corrupt than the NOI group so they got their rise to the top now.
