Has anyone heard anything lately? I keep hearing that the closures have been pushed back.

Sounds very familiar, that's exactly how it went down for the delivery side of it. Being a driver on the same route for years, you grow friendships with your customers, then they get to know you really well and most of them genuinely care about your well being. As a driver I knew way in advance that my job was going to be cut, I covered a major desktop customer on my route and she was given strict instructions from staples to not inform me of changes that were happing. BUt like i said your customers care more for your well being than your boss does, especially if its STAPLES.
I just hope you guys get a severance out of this like we did because it doesn't look like you will..... P.S. don't expect a huge payday neither, whatever you think your getting you could divide that by half..

He is just trying to prevent a mass exodus before they get their ducks in a row to screw everyone over.
Yeah I have been hearing the same thing from customers that I deliver to. I asked my manager and was told "you have nothing to be worried about". I smell BS. Wouldn't be the first time the bas--tard lied to us.
Several anchor accounts told me that they were notified that a Staples installer would no longer be delivering their orders. Seems in line with the rumor mill.
From my understanding and what was communicated a few weeks ago, big changes are in fact on the horizon.
