My spouse was headhunted to Honeywell nearly 20 years ago from Hewlett Packard. We hated leaving HP, we were both working there when it was a great company and our time there left us with lifelong friends and great memories.
Nearing 20 years with Honeywell. 19 of them were wonderful, career building years full of growth and seemingly opportunity. I am so grateful we had those! We believed loyalty and hard work would take us into
retirement. We never imagined the environment and instability we are now experiencing. Hard to believe this is the reward for honest hard work and dedication. Sad that it is.
In spite of it all, I want to say thank you for the good years. At 58, my spouses' job prospects are bleak. I hope we don't get rif'd. But if we do I don't want to lose sight of the good we have had.
I will never understand a large company CEO who appears so short-sighted and greedy. How many $$billions is enough?
Good luck everyone!
And the band plays on....
