They may have some levers to pull which could delay the inevitable and prolong the misery, I don't know. Although, I believe the article about levers to pull came out as a result of the news the day before in which an article stated that bankruptcy was inevitable. This lever article, to me, is about damage control. SHLD wants to protect its stock and pacify vendors who may be nervous. There was some back peddling after the inevitable bankruptcy article.

Don't let this article distract you from the reality of the situation. She doesn't know what she is talking about. It's just repetition of the same old BS. These authors just cut and paste a few lines about the valuable assets still owned by SHC. But the company has been cashing in assets for years to keep this wreck afloat. The easy real estate sales have already been done. No one is interested in the brand names of a dying company (at least not at a high price). It's been a long time coming, but the story is just about over.
