Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Pebble-This is what it looks like to me

Lately all I have seen is posts mostly from management and upper management. It is like one big circular blj. It reads something like:

Janie: Thank you Johnnie for visiting our store today and giving us some positive tips on how we can delight our members even more.

Johnnie: No Thank you Janie for having me in your store today. Your team is AWESOME! High five to you. You are doing an outstanding job leading your team and keeping a neat looking store. That is what having pride looks like to me.

Janie: Well, it's easy to be a great leader when I have an outstanding leader like you!

The Uber program was taken from a small firm in New england that tested it Arizona. They changed the program to include useless SYW points, and by using Shop YOur Way Sears thinks it will avoid liability for payment for the use of the program to the original developer. Shameful how Sears resorts to such actions to avoid paying for the promotional marketing program that was already fully developed.

Ask the auto center managers in the Arizona Auto Centers where the program originated, or the commercial account manager in the south west that was given details of the program. Perhaps a call to the Regional Vice president that is actually responsible for the theft of the program. They took a successful program and ruined it with SYW. Shameful actions by the automotive leadership.

Uber's public relations department was the party who pushed out the press releases on the Uber-Shopyourway partnership. Anything mentioning Uber perks interest in the media right now.

It doesn't seem newsworthy and yet there are several articles on it that appeared today.

The Uber promotional was sent to stores last week and immediately put out for members. The "news" of it really isn't noteworthy. It is just another SYW partnership. There's cell phone company, insurance company, fast food partnerships too, that all give members points bringing them to our stores and online to shop.

Okay, bizarre. You posted about Eddie and Uber 6 hours ago and since that there have been 2 news reports on it. I say it when looking up SHLD stock on Yahoo finance. One, 3 hours ago and one 40 minutes ago from when I wrote this post. The news report talks about linking Uber accounts to Sears loyalty cards and earning $2 in reward points for every ride.

Some one is watching this board.

Anyone remember seeing a post on Pebble from Eddie himself asking to take a survey about how many times you use Uber a week? Most people put zero. Well yesterday we got in our Sears,a poster about using Uber with Shop Your Way,I wonder if Eddie Lampert now owns a part of Uber?

My favorite.

What happened to Bill Savage?

He must have been to "savage".

"I miss his inspiration".

"I just saw him on here two weeks ago".

"No, he went to work for Walmart."

It really doesn't matter anymore. Even if they started today to invest ten's of millions of dollars a year in IT and store infrastructure it would take years if not decades to get the IT and store up to 21st century standards. And by then they would have to start over.

I still remember when we were required to post on Pebble a few times a day as part of making it seem like SHC had a vibrant social media scene. I must have wasted 3-4 hours a week posting stupid stuff and making up groups as part of what my manager wanted

Oh, King Eddie is going to save this company. Invest money into the IT Infastructure to avoid crashes like at the Troy data center. Why has the king not kept his promise to his subjects?

It is because the king robs from the poor and gives to the rich. IE robs from store maintence budget to do stock buy backs.

Well I hope it's not the same form of "love" that Eddie gives us at the store level with no protection and no lube. I don't consider that a "WOW" experience!

"I will never forget, Eddie made a post wanting any and all employees to "like" his post. He was introducing some kind of new leader. How awkward it must have been for the new hire and what a waste of time."

LOL!!! I saw that post. He wanted people to follow the new guy on the board and show him some "love"

Okay DMs and SMs, you heard it, form your circle and give the new guy a "WOW" experience and show some love!!

Oh, God! Oh, God! Eddie has spoken! Oh my God! His majesty has spoken!

Oh Eddie, your majesty. What would we do without you? Without you I am incomplete! We are incomplete! O, your highness, thou haveth great wisdom!

In all seriousness, that's kind of what it is like whenever Eddie posts. All of the mid and upper-level managers and employees kiss his a##. I will never forget, Eddie made a post wanting any and all employees to "like" his post. He was introducing some kind of new leader. How awkward it must have been for the new hire and what a waste of time.

It was funny to see the circle j### forming amongst all his minions..."just for you, Eddie...anything for you. Your wish is my command."

He also made a post about his birthday wish for Sears Holdings to succeed. That was funny...."O, thy haveth faith in thy savior!". All of the clueless dingbats are oblivious to the fact that Eddie does NOT want Sears Holdings succeed, he just wants to keep the gig going long enough to part it all out...

Ok that last post is spot on

Eddie has been busy posting his " insight"

He recently read or was reminded of the seven ways of highly effective people

He actually used " Begin with the end on mind"

He blasted all those people who look in the rear view at the glory days of Sears. Those goals are gone.

We shouldn't try for last year /month/week sales no we need to begin with the end and plan backwards.

I really really really wanted to post so, what is the end game Eddie? What is the plan? Nobody has a freaking clue so of course they are trying to run it and plan it like you do a retail store, They have no guidance so of course they are gonna default on the stand by plays.

Of course, the dozens of replies just kissed his special place about what a great idea that is.

His post entailed Sears Value Proposition got alittle more play

I especially like the shout out about the Kmart stores with half the lights out

The person trying to shop at Kmart and there is no help

The multiple posts about newbie employees who can't pitch SYWR

My favorite was the post about a Sears store whose escalator has been broken since Feb. & customers keep asking if the store is closing

In between the kiss a$& posts about quality & authentic

Why not give raises and attract people who will drive sales and customer service

Eddie just posts and runs , he never comes back and replies after the initial one but the people are getting alittle braver with their replies.

And then those people whom love sears so much disappear from Pebble and your wonder what happened to the little buckets of joy. Then you realize there pebble account was deactivated because the transferred from Sears to the unemployment line. The the dookie s---ers get angry and distraught and come to this site and the bucket of sunshine joy is gone and there is only buckets of sand now ;(
