Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Attention Honeywell competitors

Now is your chance to go in for the kill and take the remaining yet dwindling market share away from Honeywell. Dave is doing a good job of fooling outsiders into thinking this is a strong company but it isn't. We have no new products, we lose most bids we put out (like the 777x displays, ooops). You will have many ex Honeywell people looking for work and they can be strong assets for your company. These people are sick and tired of the gross negligence and mismanagement here at Honeywell. There will soon be a mass exodus towards the end of 2016 and into 2017, so be ready to start poaching these people to grow your business.

Suppliers, I would consider not working for honeywell any longer. Once aerospace goes belly up, and it will, you will be left holding the bag with all that product and no payment. You've been warned.

Gents, if you are still employed at HON it simply means they haven't outsourced your job YET. They have teams of people who's sole purpose is to find cheaper ways (read: fvcking Americans over) of doing business. Their job is to outsource all the American jobs they can. If you don't believe me, ask someone in sky harbor what team works behind the locked and key padded doors in building 2102. I'll give you a hint; the team is called the global strategy and integration.....why would they need to work behind locked doors? You know the answer.

What kind of butterfly effect is there, that will cause lot of people lose jobs because someone is telling the truth?

We lose jobs because of the sh--y decision by the up-management. Don't overestimate the power of the peons who like ants, waiting to be stepped on and killed....

A software company?

I saw the software being outsourced lately.

Eventually, the HON will be a SHELL company. No employees, only the overseas sub-contractors.

Sorry to say, 90%er but within 2 years, 90% of you will no longer be employed by honeywell so what difference does it make? You can try to pretend this isn't happening but when you get your head out of the sand you'll realize HON is getting out of the aerospace business in favor of becoming a software company. All your jobs are going overseas or eliminated altogether. 2 years MAX and I doubt we will even make it that long.

Honeywell will not furlough it's engineers as our customers are upset to say the least. However, they are now talking about not paying us for the last week of the year. Seems this is a contractual Holiday pay and I'm hoping they can legally do it. Does anyone know for sure?

do not trash HW so much since there is 90% of us still having job with HW to support our families. Say what you have to say but please think about 90% of us. Peace out. HR from other companies looks what you post here too.

Honeywell is lacking vision and strategy that does not only focus on short term growth. In Aero (defense and space) we are only redesigning for obsolescence and focusing on short term gains. At this point - we have no R&D efforts that focus on new technology and professional training is out the window. We don't event do Six Sigma anymore. The products we used to manufacture we no longer can build at the same level of quality. We can't build new-we can't build old. Sad, just sad.
